Hoppin' into Spring

With Spring now firmly in the air, the flowers blossoming and all the natural light pouring in through the windows, the days are finally providing us with the perfect inspiration for brightening up things indoors and are getting us egg-cited for Easter!

We’re sharing our some of our favourite things to create a spring filled tabletop and an egg-ceptional Easter basket that every bunny will love!

Laying the table

We don't need much of an excuse to decorate the table here at HQ, and Easter is our absolute favourite tablescape of the year! We love to have fun with our spring table and we think running with the theme of bunnies, eggs and florals is the best way to go!

We always start by choosing a soft colour palette that is synonymous with spring, soft yellows and pale greens with touches of pinks.
We've mixed up our spring crackers for the table choosing Betsy Buttercup in yellow, Michelle in blue and Claire-Aude. The joy of Liberty prints is that you can mix the prints and they still work so well together, which also makes choosing Crackers for each guest super fun!

We love everything Meri Meri for the littles when it comes to tables, we love their eco ranges for plates and they always have so many wonderful things for every occasion including great cracker fillers. They have a great Easter collection this year, full of beautiful ginghams and florals which really set the scene for spring which you can find here.

We've added a cheerful centre daisy plate which you can find via Liberty here and some paper daisy confetti from here.

We've decorated our place settings with personalised wooden place names from Roscoe Rules which you can find here and we also love Ink and Honey's personalised egg baubles as a little extra table gift to add to your spring branches, which you can find here.

Egg-stra special Fillers

We all know that it's what's in the cracker that makes it special right? Our favourite part is making sure the little gifts inside are really thought about for each individual person we gift to. We've aimed our Easter fillers at the littles this spring, making their Easter tables and Egg hunt loot even sweeter.

Betsy Buttercup: Maileg bunny and accessories from a selection at Bluebells burrow, Daisy Hair slides from Meri Meri.

Michelle Blue: Miniature paint set from Lilian May Studio, Spring bouncy ball from BerryLune, wooden bunny from Tenderleaf.

Claire-Aude: Easter selection of Crayons from Crayonbox and Schleich bunny from Bluebells Burrow.

It's all in the Egg-stra details

We love Cocolulu's soft linen napkins and frill tablecloths they match perfectly with our crackers and come in the cutest pastels shades for Easter, you can find them here. We've teamed them with some Bunny ear napkin rings which you can find here.

For an extra level of cute, get the little ones involved in the decor! We've added a egg crate from Anthropologie to hold a simple Easter egg craft activity using only water! We used some plain ceramic eggs which you can find here and some Easter transfers from Meri Meri.

If you don't want fresh florals on the table when there's little fingers and tablecloths being pulled we love these accident free spring embroidered florals from Emma Louise Corry which you can find here.

Tablecloth and plate mats from a selection at Zara and H&M.

Letters from the Easter Bunny

Its that time of year when Polar post has swapped the The North Pole for the blossoming hedgerows and grassy banks of the Faraway Fields... And how better to start the all-important egg hunt than with a letter from the Easter Bunny himself?! You can get your letters from the Easter bunny and a gorgeous selection of goodies from Polar Post here.

For wonderful DIY Easter crafts and cards we absolutely recommend you head over to Festive Fingerprints for their clever card making kits and bunting here.

Too old for the Easter Bunny? There's a delightful selection of hand painted botanical prints and cards from The Botanical ABC here.

Remember a hand drawn picture, a small photo or a handwritten note is equally as cherished and something that you do not have to buy to pop in our canisters.

The Egg hunt

A hunt wouldn't be a hunt without signage leading the way, we've used Roscoe Rules wooden signs to help, we love that we can bring these out year after year and become part of our egg hunt traditions, you can find their kits here.

We've loaded up our Easter baskets up with the sweetest of treasures this year. Of course there's crackers as the final hunt prize, but a basket wouldn't be complete without some beautiful decorations (as well as chocolate eggs).

Amy Swann is our go-to for themed decorations, and this year Amys' hand painted decorations are off the spring scale. Floral wreaths, sweet bunnies and chicks of dreams. You can find her Incredible collection here.

Every celebration also needs an animal with a floral crown, this beautiful spring bunny is from Bow Beaus current Easter collection here. Bow Beaus have so many small animals that fit within our canisters too!

Finishing touches for Liberty Lovers

We didn't need another excuse for a name tag especially if you want to personalise the baskets for each child. We love these personalised embroidered Liberty eggs from Jane Kent which you can find in Janes' shop here. As before, spring bunny decoration from Bow Beaus here.

A basket wouldn't be the same without a bow either and we found beautiful matching Liberty bows from Cece and Bear Company here.

For matching magical Liberty Crowns, wands and Easter baskets please head over to Fable heart here. For the perfect Easter t-shirt check out the Liberty bunny tee from Magnificent Stanley here.

For delicious finishing touches, our Easter table wouldn't be complete without something from Betty's. We love these Spring themed shortbreads, but be warned Betty's Easter egg collection is utterly egg-quisite and you'll be filling another basket of treats just for yourself! Shop Betty's here.

Linen bunny ears from Mimi and Lula

We always find going to any of your favourite websites and typing in 'mini' or 'miniature' always brings up some goodies that will fit within our canisters.

You can shop our new 'Spring' collection here.
Theres still time to order if you hop to it!
