Summer Collection 2023
Our favourite - layered up floor cushions and soft linens nestled in cosy corners of the garden, a retreat for intimate conversations and the sound of velvety music whilst barefoot, making tablescapes that sometimes aren't just for the table.
This years Summer collection focuses on the seasons ahead that go well into our Autumn days. A season of laid back entertaining with minimal organisation and little stress.
This collection is extra special, we've designed these so that both sides are patterned and reversible and each have their own trims, for more uses and more celebrations! We've also lined them for an extra bit of luxury and to make sure the delicate cotton block prints make a bold statement. The imperfections you'll see in the hand printing of these fabrics only adds to the uniqueness of each cracker in this collection making these really really special heirloom pieces.
Gifts for guests
Filling up a basket to keep the children entertained with small gifts for the day always goes down a treat. We always fill our Summer Crackers up for the children with a treasure hunt, bubbles and of course a chocolate surprise!
We've filled our crackers up with small bottles of our absolute favourite famous local gin from Slingsby who have the most wonderful fruit gin selection, perfect for Summer. We've also included some Summer flavoured gin tea bags filled with dried ingredients to elevate our guests tipples. A really inexpensive and fun element to add to your day.
For those that don't drink you can swap for a non alcoholic version or we've filled with some local Summer scented skincare treats including a natural lip balm, some citrus bath salts and Summer soap for wellbeing during the summer months.
Once the parties over, pop your Cracker fabrics and ribbons in the wash (please see our new washing instructions for our block print reversibles) and keep those crackers fresh for a lifetime of Summer celebrations!
For a laid back super simple supper outside and at home.
Eating outside is one of Summers greatest pleasures, a time to slow it right down and relax and enjoy your own space. We love Middle Eastern dishes that you can serve cold and scoop up with toasted breads or vegetables. Sharing platters and dips are much less stress then slaving away cooking in already boiling hot heat and it's less washing up - win! We like to keep our whole menu simple, light and fresh.
Don't worry about about matching serving vessels, just use what you have to hand. Mismatched plates, cups and just a simple linen napkin and table cloth are a big yes from us. We've used a mixed selection that we have already with an unbreakable Summer melamine set by Ellen Merchant via Anthropologie.
If you are going into the night with celebrations, adding garden lanterns or solar lighting ready for when the sun is setting means you aren’t forced indoors before the evening is ready to end and they can transform your space into something even more special giving off the ultimate cozy glow.
Tip ~Keep the bugs away during the day with used coffee grounds and light like you would incense.
Gathered flowers from your own garden is a beautiful addition to a Summer table or if you're not quite ready to pick them position your table close to your flowerbeds.
Pst. We've reused two stems of faux florals (English Rose and Ranunculus) from The Flower Shop at Neptune on our table.
Happy Summer Soliste!
"May you bask in Summers rejuvenating warmth and soak up the replenishing rays of the sun, inspiring self-growth and transformation to set you on the right path for the rest of the year".
